The amount of love and support that we received, both through the process of adopting and after our adoption of Vivian, is something that no words can describe or quantify. And it is something that has inspired us to adopt again.

We have some very good friends of ours who adopted a sibling set (a girl and two boys) from Bulgaria. They have documented their journey very well and we have watched closely as their story has unfolded. They have also advocated for the orphan children in Bulgaria, painting a very dark picture for the future of the children who have, literally, no hope. Orphans who age out of their orphanages will more than likely either spend the rest of their short lives in a human traffic pipeline after being promised lies of a grandiose lifestyle. Boys will find their homes in gangs. Girls will find themselves as prostitutes. And statistically, they will live a few short years after leaving the safety of their orphanage.

This has motivated us to save at least one child from this bleak future. Follow us on our journey. I hope that it inspires you to seek the same path.
